Greetings from a sunny and warm Arlington, TX… We woke up this morning to temps in the upper 40’s, but now it is in the lower 80’s… quite a temperature range…

My work day went by quickly. For lunch I went to the Whataburger at the Shell gas station that is close to work. It worked out well because I filled the Subaru’s gas tank, washed the car and had lunch – all within 30 minutes… I have lots of little projects that are being tested and on their way to being moved into Production. It seems like it takes longer to get the application tested and into Production then it does to make the programming changes. It becomes almost a full time job to keep all of the projects organized and moving forward…

Over the weekend we watched Wargames: The Dead Code. It is a direct to DVD “sequel” to the 1983 cult-classic War Games. I knew this movie would be disappointing when i rented it, but the original War Games is my favorite movie of all time and I could not resist. The star of the show is Matt Lanter – who is cute enough to keep my interest… thank goodness because the plot was a really bad good war computer gone bad… it was very clique.. There were a few scenes where they find the old WHOPPER computer that went bad in the 1983 computer – it was cool seeing it up and running – but it sucked when it was blown up… like now it can’t come back… but it kinda does inside of the new bad computer… I will not spoil the ending.. but I think I could have written a better plot myself…. oh well…

I found a new TV show on BBC America that I really like – but John really hates. It is called The Hotel Inspector and each episode features the inspector, Ruth Watson, going to very nasty hotel in the UK, pointing out all the problems and coming up with a plan of attack for improvement. Ruth is quite brash, comes right to the point in a Gordon Ramsey kind of way. Most of these hotels would be considered to be bed and breakfasts here in the US – mostly old Victorian homes that now rent out rooms.. Some of the hotels are soooo nasty.. it makes me giggle… but I have to giggle alone becuase John decided that he hates it.. alot… oh well…

John spent the day mowing, and mowing and mowing some more… he said that he mowed for over 7 hours…. he’s a bit tired tonight… but his tan is getting better each day and his hair is getting all sun bleached and etc… With all of the rain here it seems like you can see the grass grow….

Not much else going on…. off to the library to return some books…
