Today John received the mounting bracket for this MFJ Mobile Tuner Model MFJ-945E so tomorrow he can get it connected with our existing antennas and Yaesu 857D transceiver.
I expect John will have fun with the radio all day tomorrow.
We are expecting a nasty storm tonight. A cold front is rolling in from Georgia and bringing with it 70 mph winds and 4-5 inches of rain. I hope the storm does not turn out this nasty, but the idea of a cold front sounds good because it is 90° out right now.
For lunch today I went to Little Pigs BBQ with my coworkers. Little Pigs is not fancy – folding chairs & tables, foam plates, but is a sinfully good buffet. They have three kinds of BBQ pork – tomato, vinegar and mustard. They also have really good mac-n-cheese, fried okra, collard greens, hush puppies, fried catfish and much more. The restaurant was busy with lots of soldiers from Fort Jackson. Some of the best chicken was not on the buffet line, if you know what I mean ;). I might bring John here on Saturday so he can try it. Here is a picture of me at Little Pigs that a coworker took with his iPhone.
Tomorrow I will send off the last items from my ebay auctions. I had items go all over the world – Germany, Spain, Russia, Australia, Canada and several states here in the US. I’m getting good at filling out customs forms. So far I have been receiving positive feedback from the winners of the auctions. I’m going to purchase a new digital camera with the proceeds.
