Hello all, John here.  Yes, I know it’s been a while….

Yesterday, I managed to get off early and we ran up to Oshkosh to visit with Rich A.  He was camped out at the EAA, and invited us to dinner.  It was really awesome to be right there under all the airplanes flying, and Rich made an awesome dinner of pork chops, sweetcorn and baked beans.  It was great to see him, and we are both jealous of not being up there for the event.

We arrived back home pretty late last night, but up early because we wanted to get to the UPS Store to get our mail, and pickup a couple supplies for the Motor Home.  Yes, I have learned my lesson, don’t hire non-professionals to detail your coach, EVER!  So, about 2 months ago, I hired Mike to wash and wax the coach.  Mike used to drive for me when I was the Ops Manager back 5 years ago, and now rents the garage space at Donahue running his own mechanic shop and detail business.  Really there isn’t anyone in Milwaukee that comes to your site to do such work, so I figured I’d give him a chance.  Bad idea.  He charged me top dollar, and it was awful.  I insisted he return to fix it, and he did, but still it was far from a good job.  Since I have been working such crazy hours and did not have the time to do it, I asked T.J. to do it last month.  T.J. is one of our driver’s sons, who also used to work on the dock.  He’s 18. and seemed fairly responsible.  Well, to make a long story short, again, not a good call.

So finally a day off, we waxed our arms off.  Derek was a huge help, he did both sides, while I used a buffer to finish where T.J. left off.  The buffer did a great job, and I must say I might have a new favorite wax too.  Tero got the polish and wax from Cook’s Auto Supply here in town.  Both were super easy to work with and did an excellent job.

When I was waxing the front, I dappled a bit of wax on the windshield–  Prince couldn’t figure it out to save his life.  It kept him him busy for a half hour.

I am sure Derek will add some of the awful pics he took of me….

On face book today I saw that Fausto of Feast of Fools posted a funny video–  Don’t try this with your Slendide!

Ok, so I don’t want to over do it for my first post in 2 months…

Have a good night.  John
