Work was uneventful. I finally completed the first form (out of a set of 50) after working on it for 2 1/2 days. Tomorrow it will be tested and I will be notified of any mistakes and changes that need to be made.
We have new neighbors behind us – a large fifth wheel trailer that is pulled by a big red Ford diesel with Illinois plates. The truck features a metal fish decal on the hood and a large decal on the side window that says “This year will go down in History! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead to the future! – Adolph Hitler“. I checked the quote out online and several sources say it is bogus and not from Hitler. You can check it out here: Bogus Gun Control Quotes. They also have a German shepherd dog tied up under the fifth wheel…..
Move in weekend at Illinois State University started today. Traffic around the college dorms is impossible. I found an alternate way to get to work. I went through the college to check out the chicken on the way home – the wait was worth it ;). Several dorms had lines of parents with shopping carts full of dorm crap waiting to use the elevators. This will be continuing all weekend. I’m afraid to go to Walmart, Target or any restaurant because of the crowds.
For lunch I had a rice a bean burrito and for supper we had veggie pizza. We usually go out to Noodles, but not this week…..
I’m getting laundry caught up this evening – including all of the bedding. I’m getting out the new 600 thread count sheets for the first time. I can’t wait to try them out tonight.
Several people found the new geocache that I put out this week. I get an email notification each time a new person logs their find. No one has picked up Polly Pockets yet – I’m sure she will get started on her journey this weekend.
