Hello all John here…

Made it back from VA.  Trip was awful, and it was so good to be home last night…  Then of course I got to go into the office today.  Not sure what is worse lately, being at home and dealing with the drama at work, or being away and missing Derek.  Work has been a huge challenge, most of it all stemming from our internal workings, as the actual work is happening basically as it should.

As I am sure you can all tell I am reaching my limit again.  I probably shouldn’t write this here, but I am growing quite frustrated with Tom, and “the Team” at work.  Especially when it certainly seems that any direction we are given is fussy at best, and possibly even slightly skewed to nudge us off track far enough to gain a short term result.  Then to be given directive and deadlines that are not only impracticable, but obviously the only person who will step to the plate and even attempt completion is me, the one who is already working 120+ hours a week putting out fires attempting to find a way to put fussy visions on paper and execute.  Bah, I am not making any sense…  The bottom line it I am pissed because the deal is ever changing, never has any boundaries, and I always seem to be coming up with the short end.  Most importantly I am pissed that I can’t find an eloquent way to simply come out and say “NO” I am not going to do this any longer because it isn’t fair to me, and doesn’t further my gain in any way– monetarily or in happiness, and continue to justify why I can’t approach Tom with the reasons I am not happy.  Anyhow–  Thanks for letting me vent…

On a better note, it was “weird Thursday” again–  We call it that because the last several Thursdays have been quite interesting with very strange happenings…  Today, we had a job applicant for a Dock Position come in–  Normally a pretty mundane ordeal since Dock Workers normally aren’t paid a whole lot, which normally brings in either kids who don’t have much work experience or people who are just not qualified to do anything else…  In this case it was clueless kid…  Wearing a ‘Trojan Condom” t-shirt.  Which sparked an email from Jason to Chris and I while I was interviewing him I get “Did you see the T-Shirt?  Nice!”  like I wasn’t having a hard enough time keeping a straight face as I read off his name on the application–  Yes, Mr. Dicken’s really did come to a job interview in a Trojan Condom T-shirt, and the jokes kept up all day…  Now, I might just have to hire him simply because of the given nickname….

trojan-man.jpg I was hoping to find a cute youtube with the Them song and all…  But I’m too tired now…

Derek is off having dinner with his buddies–  Yes, I am a bad person for not wanting to go, I was just to wiped out from today to want to deal with more people.  So, that’s all I got…

Have a good night.
